In our hands lie in the hearts of our children and it's largely us, moms, who groom their little hearts to maturity. It's mostly in our actions that teach them the right way to go...and it's largely the results of our decisions that pave the way for them to have the opportunity to get somewhere.
"The man is the head of the house but, the woman is the neck
that turns the head." anonymous
My kids laugh about that in our house but, well,
there is a lot of truth to that statement. I'm not a woman's libber,
just one that believes that we are very influential in our homes,
country, and world. We have influence on friends, family,
the men in our lives, and are the most people influential in our children's lives.
"Knowledge is power"
Sir Francis Bacon, Religious Meditations, Of Heresies, 1597
English author, courtier, & philosopher (1561 - 1626)
We, like I mentioned before, are just so busy taking care of
business that we don't have the information to do, or even the time to
think about, much more than what is immediately in front of us. With that ability to influence, comes a responsibility to find and handle the truth properly, and the right to enjoy the rewards and personal satisfaction of carrying out those truths.
I believe that we, with all that ability to make a difference, aren't operating at our full potential. I think that with all that we need to know, and don't know, can hurt us more in time than what it seems will bog us down in the present.
We need to know the truth...many others are counting on us to!
"Nothing in all the world is more dangerous
than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity."
Martin Luther King Jr. (1929 - 1968), Strength to Love, 1963
