A Kansas mother called in and told of her child coming home with a Pedometer on his ankle. He called it an "Activity tracker" and he was told that he had to keep in on his ankle all day every day to track his activity how many calories he burned. He was to keep a diary of what he ate and when he went to school he was being interrogated by the teachers about what his parents were feeding him. [Of] course the mother rebelled. The pedometer was removed. Two weeks later he came home with the pedometer and now it was a requirement. Next year the meters will be fully implemented and according to the school's website, more intrusive measures will begin.45:50
Many Teachers are leaving the profession. They are broken-hearted over what they are seeing.
In a letter from a parent was a picture of a letter that she got asking her child to participate in a survey. The survey was being done under the guise of the"Tripod Project".A part of common core will be eventually children evaluating their teachers' performance. It is funded byBill Gates.
Some of the questions on this survey are personal perspectives on what your child is experiencing at school and in the classroom. Family background, general demographic information, and issues related to youth, culture, racial and ethnic identity, classroom climate, the way that students treat one another, and classroom behavior. (This is Tennesee Farragut school district.)
How about this from Bradley County Elementary School ...
"Leaders for life ... Voyage to Greatness - Principles for Sailing". There are eight principles on here. Principle number six - "I lend a hand on deck. I am a servant leader and a world citizen". There is nothing wrong with knowing what is going on in the world, it's good for children to know how other countries function and of other people's lives but, there is an anti-american theme threaded through this. It fits within a message that we are abandoning our american principles, our american culture, giving up our sovereignty to become global citizens.
Retina scanning programs implemented as part of an experimental safety protocol in three Polk County, Florida schools has been abruptly halted as the parents of the minors were not notified prior to the students being scanned for data.
Over the years, we’ve seen schools argue the application of uniforms, id badges/cards, and metal scanners, and now it seems several Florida faculties want to add retina scanners all in the name of safety. It’s like our kids are practicing for future TSA pat-downs every time they head off to school for the day.
According to an Examiner report, three Florida schools ...
"In national policy there's increasing in the 21st century competencies (which encompass a range of non-cognative factors, including grit), and persistence is now part of the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics."
One of the measurements mentioned is: Behavioral Task Performance (digital measurements - MRI, facial expression camera, posture analysis seat, pressure mouse, wireless skin conductance sensor-lie detector??)
Indoctrination in Common Core ELA Texts - 1st Grade Literature & Writing
Please take a look at a Common Core textbook for 6 year old children. One thing you want to notice when you're watching this short video is that the text directs children to play on people's emotions when they are writing. The other thing to notice is that the examples used include fighting a land owner who wants to build houses on land that people have been using as a park (no explanation here, just emotion: anger), and the need to manipulate parents and others.
Common Core: "Wrong answers are just fine."
Common Core: Includes the removal of cursive in which carries ability to ready family letters, America's founding documents ... our heritage.
Stop Common Core is a Mom's Movement
You ask yourself "WHY?" ... Going back to "Who is behind Common Core", Bill Gates, "The Usual Suspects", and many not noted, ... There is A TON OF MONEY TO BE MADE IN WHAT IS HAPPENING! Bigger than this ... there's A TON OF POWER TO BE MADE IN WHAT IS HAPPENING!!!!!
Things for you to think about.
Who is really benefiting from Common Core?
Why are companies like EXXON running commercials about Common Core. Why is GE supporting Common Core? Did they ever run a commercial about "No Child Left Behind?"
Will the Government eventually decide what careen choices your child will have?
Why the push for Charter Schools? Could it be to replace our public schools?
SAT will eventually be created to align with Common Core. What will this mean to home school and private school students?
Will we even have a need for 4 year college educated teachers in the future? Why not just a room monitor?
TN hired 704 teacher Coaches. These teachers signed a 1 year contract and their stipened will range from $5K - $6500. $3.5 MILLION.These are teachers that are already in our teacher workforce and they will be teachers that will help train other teachers on how to implement CC. Teachers will have to relearn how to teach ELA and Math. Willl the road to higher achievement results be paved with lower standards? Will bright students be help back?
Why would a state bypass piloted and tested curriculum used in other sates for standards that have never been piloted or tested?
COST - NO ONE KNOWS HOW MUCH THIS WILL COST THE TAX-PAYER. PIONEER INSTITUTE conservatively estimates CC will cost $16B nationally.
Sidewell Friends in Washington, D.C., the school that President Obama sends his children to, does not offer Common Core.
Why is the program called "Common Core"? Could it indicate education for the common good, the collective, rather than the individual? Or maybe Common Core is good enough for the common person. Or, as noted of on the "UNESCO" page, stems from Robert Muller,s "World Core Curriculum for Global Education".
