I saw a bear today

I saw a bear today ... at first I thought it was "Buddy" our neighbor dog!

It was a nice sunny day and I had our little dog on her leash tied to the top of the porch today. She was just hanging out, with the door open, as I did a couple chores. The breeze was so nice!

Anyways, I hear her barking excitedly at something not far away from her. I could hear in her growl that it was pretty close! She was poised to attack! I looked out and there was, what I thought was our neighbor dog, "Buddy"! How many time had Buddy passed by, racing through as he's chased off with us wondering if his long bushy hair is a bear! This time I took my dog's collar and yelled, "Go home Buddy?", realizing then, that's not "Buddy", that's a bear!

I, as quickly as I could, untied my dog's leash, holding her quiet, as the bear hustled by about 20 feet away! My heart was pounding, my mind was racing, my dog was ready to take that thing on! All happened very quickly
