Today my son and I headed out, after he got home from school, to the local frozen yogurt shop for a "FroYo" as the kids call it. Right after, we headed to a park, where we had gone so many times, usually with our dog, to enjoy a little sunshine before heading back home for homework.
This summer we, our family, had taken a trip to the pacific ocean, where there were huge trees that had settled along the beach, so many that we actually made our way down the beach about 1/2 mile jumping from tree to tree! It was so much fun!
So, back to the lake ... we were walking along the paved sidewalk and noticed all the pine-cones along the side. Reflecting back to this summer at the ocean, we decided to jump from pine-cone to pine-cone as far as we could go. We giggled, jumped, and giggled some more as we went until ... it dawned on us that not all the little brown oval shaped things, in this dog friendly park, were pine-cones!
Needless to say, we hopped back onto the paved path and went along our way!
