Kids and the Sense of Entitlement...
Do you know anyone who has a child, or children, with a sense of entitlement?
You know, when they think should receive something in which they are capable, or at lease, ought to be at their age, of attaining themselves? I look around and see high school kids getting cars bought for them, I mean, nice ones, BMW's, Jeep Grand Cherokees, etc. Kids think their parents are "supposed" to buy them a car, or in the case of a neighbor near-by who's son only wanted a girlfriend who's parents had money so he could marry and live off her parents.
They really need to grow with a sense of responsibility for self so they don't expect to to be able to always rely on others to provide for them. Let's make a conscious extra effort, even if a little bit at a time, to protect our kids from this selfish attitude ... for THEIR SAKE ... and ours.
